Mushrooms of Concrete plot
Party leader Enver Hoxha ruled Albania for 41 years from 1944 to 1985. At that time, the communist dictator left a big mark on the poorest country in Europe. He ensured that Albania had electricity everywhere as early as 1967, but also became isolated from the world. Hoxha was always afraid of attacks from outside, so he had 750,000 bunkers built, which are still strategically located in Albania. Old Albanians, against the background of the abandoned bunkers shaped like mushrooms, tell of how they worked on it continuously and with great sacrifice and then practiced in it.
