Multiple Schicksale - Vom Kampf um den Eigenen Körper plot

The mother of filmmaker Jann Kessler has been suffering from multiple sclerosis, or MS for short, for years. Wanting to learn even more about this incurable disease, he embarks on a journey through Switzerland at the age of 18, meeting several people, all of whom are affected by MS. He learns that everyone has their own way of dealing with it. Bernadette, for example, keeps her smile even when she doesn't like it anymore. Luana has words of encouragement tattooed on her arm. And Kessler also meets Rainer who is thinking about euthanasia. But despite their limitations, they speak openly about their lives and illness.
