"A Small Movie About Oulu in the 1950s"

Peter von Bagh, a master of filmmaking from archive footage, spent his childhood in the Finnish town of Oulu. There he first went to the cinema and fell in love with it. As a child, he experienced the aftermath of the bombing of his hometown during World War II. In Remembrance, he returns to Oulu and reconstructs its turbulent history, from the 1940s to the present, as well as his own past.
