Motherland: A Genetic Journey plot

The Motherland project is a large-scale genetic study that uses DNA analysis to search for the ancestors of Britons of African-Caribbean descent. Because of slavery, their parentage is largely unknown. Today's genetics allow not only to broadly study this lineage statistically, but even to bring people into contact with relatives in Africa after a generational stay in Europe.
