Mila's Journey plot

What do you do when your beloved man is on his deathbed and hands you an old suitcase with undeveloped 8mm films? The thirty-year-old material shows a mile-long trek that Mila Jansen made with her husband through the Indian Ladakh region in the Himalayas. Mila decides to return to India to rediscover the region and relive the profound experience. Mila Jansen was a rebel in Amsterdam in the 1960s, a hippie in India in the 1970s, a single mother with four kids in the 1980s and now a successful businesswoman in the world of hemp.
