Meester Ben plot

Documentary about Ben, a devoted teacher in the Schilderswijk, against the background of the growing tensions between immigrants and natives in the Netherlands. Every day Ben van Zoetermeer drives to the Schilderswijk. He teaches Dutch to students who do not speak Dutch on the street or at home. He works hard for the CITO test - but knows that on average four out of seventy-five students in group eight go to HAVO, and the rest to VMBO. Is his mission absurd? Is he a sucker? Or is he doing great work? Can Ben really achieve anything with his idealism?
