Mass Moving plot
This documentary is about the Brussels socially engaged artists' collective Mass Moving whose actions were on the borderline of artistic performance, political provocation and ecological awareness. The movement gained connections in the Netherlands, France, Japan and others and their actions extended worldwide. The collective was founded in 1969 and abruptly disbanded in 1976 with a high-profile auto-da-fe. Through some of its leading members and through remaining archive material, this documentary tells the chronological account of the origin, actions and dissolution of this playful group against the political and social background of the turbulent 1970s. It is also the story of the reunion of the now seventy-year-old artist Rafael Opstaele and the sixty-year-old environmental activist Bernard Delville.
