Marte Röling & Partners plot

Marte Röling is one of the most famous and outspoken artists in the Netherlands. She has a large and versatile oeuvre to her name, which consists of fashion drawings, paintings, portraits, stamps, record covers, monumental sculptures and even a painted tram. Filmmakers Deborah Faraone Menella and Jelte Maarten Boll recorded the artist's life and work in her large Groningen studio for four years. In Groningen, Marte Röling lives and works together with artists Alissa and Adriënne Morriën and Wanda Werner, 'Röling & Partners'. Their beloved Henk Jurriaans was also part of the commuter community until his death in 2005. Together they developed a unique relationship in which not only work, but also love and life were selflessly and shared.
