Ma Famille Africaine plot

The Swiss Thomas Thümena is 'luckily' married to the Ivorian Lea Zézé. They have a son together, Yann, and they live in German-speaking Switzerland. It's not all smooth sailing. Lea Zézé has difficulty with the language, integration and finding work. In addition, there is a civil war in her homeland Ivory Coast and she suffers from homesickness. Thomas clashes with her when it comes to raising their child, and transporting monkey meat in his suitcase from Côte d'Ivoire to Switzerland is also not of his own volition.
