Lyari Notes plot

Lyari is a neighborhood in Karachi, Pakistan. It is the most violent part of the city, terrorized by gangs engaged in armed conflict with the police. Aksa (11) and her three friends live in Lyari, but are driven weekly in a van to the Music, Art & Dance School in a different part of town. The school was founded by the well-known Pakistani rock artist Hamza Jafri and his wife Nida Butt. They have a mission: to use music as a creative outlet and means of communication in an oppressed country that suffers from the terror of extremists.
