Loving Lorna plot

Horses have been a part of everyday life in the Dublin suburb of Ballymun for generations - as well as for 17-year-old Lorna and her family. Her unemployed father finds structure and purpose in his daily life by looking after his horses, while her ailing mother wistfully remembers the time she turned her head as they galloped through town. Lorna enjoys spending all her free time at the equestrian center or riding Bigfoot, her horse. She long ago set her sights on becoming a farrier the moment she left school.
