Lost Kingdom of the Black Pharaohs plot
The Cushite Dynasty ruled Ancient Egypt for a hundred years and was led by pharaohs such as Piye and Taharqa. They won battles, built the last pyramids and gave the Egyptian Empire a final golden age. According to many scholars, these pharaohs were black, but stereotypical views caused this theory to be rejected. In recent years, however, new evidence has been found to show that the 25th Dynasty was indeed led by powerful black pharaohs, who conquered Egypt's southern neighbor Nubia, present-day Sudan. In this documentary, the archaeologists show the most recent developments in research into the Cushite Empire.
