London Brief plot

The English 'letter' includes both 'file' and 'brief', but the Dutch letter also applies. A video letter or report of London through the eyes of a filmmaker. Jost isolates the word 'Look' from the signs in the metro - 'Look Left, Look Right' - and invites the viewer to watch with him. His camera lens focuses on, among other things, an arcade, tube stops, the British Museum and skaters in a park, choosing a different, subtle form of image manipulation for each subject. Stop-motion, multi-split-screen, double images and delays of well-known London places make room for a 'different' way of observing.
