Letters from Kurdistan plot

Since 2013, the Kurds have been systematically terrorized by the Islamic State group, as the caliphate penetrates deeper into their ancestral homeland. This documentary brings together three uniquely tragic perspectives on the war ravaging the Middle East. For example, a lone sniper is haunted by the violence he has used to defend his people. Three Yazidi girls stand firm despite the unimaginable atrocities their captors inflicted on them. And a militia of mostly female soldiers defies expectations by holding out during the Battle of Kobani against the Caliphate.
