Les Enfants du Goulag plot

French documentary (2011) by Romain Icard about the hundreds of thousands of children born in the Gulag prison camps during the Stalin regime, or worse: deliberately sent there. The 'Gulags' were penal and labor camps where millions of Soviet citizens ended up under the dictatorship of Stalin. They were often far from civilization, isolated in remote corners of the country, including Siberia. 'Gulag' is derived from the name of the central administration that managed the penal camp system.
