Le Premier Cri plot

A unique event. Everyone is experiencing it. Right now, all over the world, it's happening again. 364,501 times a day to be exact. The arrival of a new life on our globe. On March 29, 2006, a total eclipse of the sun plunges part of the Earth into darkness. Documentary maker Gilles De Maistre chooses this moment to explore the universe of birth. From the Siberian tundra to traditional Japan, from densely populated hospitals in Vietnam to a dolphinarium in Mexico, he follows mothers everywhere in the tense hours just before, during and after birth.
