In 1971, the Front Homosexuel d'Action Révolutionnaire held its first public manifestations during a May 1st parade and public discussion at the University of Vincennes. Armed with a handheld camera, Carole Roussopoulos captures the intense emotions at a historic meeting of FHAR, an organization of radical gay activists. They want to overthrow heteronormality and show a common determination to break through prejudice and expand minds.
