Last Address plot
"An elegy for a generation of New York City artists who died of AIDS"
The list of New York artists who have died of AIDS in the past thirty years is countless and the loss immeasurable. In 'Last Address', filmmaker Ira Sachs, who herself first moved to the city in 1984, uses images of the exteriors of the houses, blocks of flats and lofts where the artists lived at the time of their death. This is how the disappearance of a generation is marked.
