The 'Quest for Inspiration' immerses you in the universe of landscape photographer Alexandre Deschaumes. With his vision he transforms landscapes into a world of his own. He plays with light, colours, shapes and contrasts and gives the natural landscapes a surreal look. His quest once began with many solitary wanderings through autumnal forests, but Deschaumes wanted more. Further. grander. To persevere. Capture what hardly anyone sees. His images, which sometimes look more like paintings than photos, are made during extensive and exhausting photo expeditions to Iceland and Patagonia, among others, where the photographer seeks the isolation of the mountains - and has to brave the extreme conditions. At the end of the world, he finds his inspiration and the breathtaking, ethereal images he creates. But no matter what he finds, Deschaumes keeps going.
