Ethnographer and cinematographer Jean Rouch leaves the Niger River in the mid-1980s and settles on the banks of the Po in Turin. What was he looking for in an industrial city in northern Italy that had nothing in common with Africa? This documentary tells Jean Rouch's Turin adventure, from his first meeting with the authors in 1984 until Enigma's last day of shooting. During the two years he worked in Turin, he was recorded.
