Kyrgyzstan: The Kidnapped Bride plot

In Kyrgyzstan, it is possible that as a girl you go to school in the morning whistling, but in the evening you end up as a bride in a completely foreign family. Struggling doesn't help. The girl Kairgul calmly waits for the school bus. She suspects no harm from the unknown, loitering man on the curb. But the next moment he pushes her into a passing car. She is kidnapped to be his bride. "I don't want to be late for school," she yells. The dry answer is, "Your lessons are over." Director Petr Lom filmed the brides, grooms and in-laws and tells the story from the remote country.
