King Georges plot
Around 2010, Philadelphia is about to lose its culinary treasure: Le Bec-Fin, one of the best French restaurants in the country. Almost as iconic as his dazzling eatery, 67-year-old owner Georges Perrier is preparing to sell the restaurant after more than four decades in business. Filmmaker Erika Frankel, a resident of the Philly suburbs, asks if she can film Perrier as a tribute to the end of an era. However, Perrier has other plans. He decides to cancel the sale and relaunch Le Bec-Fin by hiring a new protégé, Chef Nicholas Elmi, who has achieved national fame through the "Top Chef" TV show.
