Kamp Westerbork, de Film plot
In the spring of 1944, Rudolf Breslauer records life in camp Westerbork. Commissioned by camp commander Albert Gemmeker, the German-Jewish cameraman films how prisoners arrive at the Judendurchgangslager, play football, act, work and go on transport. The unique images form the common thread in the documentary Kamp Westerbork, the film. They are the only moving images showing prisoners being transported during the Second World War. But also how a pastime is found in football matches and cabaret performances and how they spent their stay in camp Westerbork while working. It never came to a final assembly, but the raw material that has been preserved provides a unique insight into the life of 'model camp Westerbork'.
