Juunt Pastaza Entsari plot

On the border of Ecuador and Peru, a group of indigenous Achuar children swarm through the jungle. Nature is their habitat, their playground and work area. With apparent ease they climb towering trees to harvest fruit and vegetables and go fishing in a motorboat. They encounter all kinds of small animals, carve their own airplane out of wood and play in a waterfall. Skillfully and confidently, the children, however small, perform household tasks that in other parts of the world are entrusted only to adults, such as cooking over open fires and preparing food with a huge cleaver. Filmmaker Inês T. Alves observes all this without judgment in this documentary.
