The gorillas living in freedom worldwide are not doing well. To save the breed from extinction, all hopes are pinned on reproduction of the zoo-dwelling congeners. There are more than four hundred living in Europe and it is hoped to maintain that number. Ivo is one of those males who has to take care of offspring.
