Ivan and Ivana plot

After the Kosovo war destroys a young couple's homeland and dream for a normal life, they flee the Balkans. Along a wild journey, they search once again to rebuild their lives in the United States. Once in California, they find themselves in the midst of the housing market that was soon to burst. Set in a turbulent economic, political and personal period, the film shows their vicissitudes to ultimately reveal the unorthodox portrayal of the American immigrant experience.
