Insecticide, Mon Amour plot
Guillaume Bodin is 26. He is a worker in a vineyard in Saône-et-Loire and the victim of the mandatory insecticide treatments. Impossible to be heard, he decides to quit his job and investigate the matter himself. He visits, among others, Emmanuel Thibault and Liger Belair Giboulot, who refused to apply the insecticide treatment, and Jean-Marc Bonmatin, CNRS researcher and whistleblower for the disastrous effects of the use of such pesticides on the environment. The couple Claude and Lydia Bourguignon provide extensive information about the impact of these chemicals on the benthic fauna. However, things don't look quite as bleak as a group of winemakers try to change the dossier towards greater respect for the environment.
