Im Osten Was Neues plot

Thomas Eichstätt, nicknamed "Eichi," was once an outspoken right-wing radical in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Today, he volunteers as a coach for the FC Pio football club in Torgelow. Many of his players have left their home countries and now face the challenges of flight, integration, and finding work. For the team, "Eichi" becomes an important point of reference, someone who takes responsibility and offers support. Despite his dedication, his work remains unpaid, as the municipality has no funds for compensation.
