Man has always lived, and sometimes with great success, in a crazy contradiction. On the one hand, there is an almost unconditional love for cute and beautiful animals such as dogs, cats and horses, which are considered faithful friends and companions. On the other hand, he apparently has no problem raising so-called 'cattle' for his own needs, exploiting them and eventually killing them en masse. The documentary 'On behalf of the Animals' by Sabine Kückelmann aims to show the cruelty and mechanisms of the meat industry and at the same time be a plea for good animal handling.
