Il Mio Amico Massimo plot

Nearly seventy years after Massimo Troisi's birth, this documentary tells the life story and artistic journey of the beloved Neapolitan actor. Featuring cabaret, theater, and television performances, backstage footage, archive photos, and interviews with friends and well-known figures such as Carlo Verdone, Nino Frassica, Clarissa Burt, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Ficarra, and Picone, plus historical accounts from Pippo Baudo and Renzo Arbore, a rich portrait of his career emerges. The documentary also features a special contribution from Gerardo Ferrara, the stand-in actor who assisted Troisi during the filming of the iconic film "Il Postino."
