In 2018, a series of attacks were carried out against Minister of Justice Tor Mikkel Wara, the figurehead of the radical right-wing Progress Party in Norway. His partner, Laila Bertheussen, was arrested and sentenced to twenty months in prison, but she denies everything to this day. When Wara betrayed her during her imprisonment, she sought a way to be heard in a world that considered her insane. A portrait of a woman who doesn't want to accept her fate, but rewrite it.

In 2021, then 55-year-old Laila Bertheussen was sentenced to 20 months in prison. She was found guilty of eight offenses, including an attack on her husband, Tor Mikkel Ware, a far-right Norwegian minister who was having an affair with a political opponent. Because most of the other people involved refused to cooperate with this documentary, De Brouwer was unable to reconstruct the events and instead created a portrait of a woman characterized by contradictions. Because Laila keeps her cards close to her chest, the story never goes into depth, despite the compelling story and Laila's sometimes provocative remarks.
