How I Became an Elephant plot

When Juliette West goes on a quest to educate herself, she gets far more than she wants. Now she is angry. Her anger is driven by love, love for all that is natural and free. The innocent 14-year-old girl from a suburb of California sets out on a journey of discovery to save the world's largest land mammals. A journey that takes her half way around the world and brings her face to face with the giants she wants to bring to safety: elephants.
