Hostage in the Jungle plot

In this documentary, Ingrid Betancourt tells the full story of her kidnapping and captivity in the jungle for the first time. Her fellow sufferers also have their say: her campaign manager Clara Rojas, who was kidnapped with her, and Marc Gonsalves, one of the three Americans who, like her, were held captive for years by the FARC and were freed with her. The film shows the dynamics of captivity. We see how Ingrid and Clara came into conflict with each other and developed completely different survival strategies. Clara got pregnant from one of the FARC members and gave birth to a child in the jungle. There are also interviews with a kidnapper of Betancourt and with the camp leader in the jungle. The liberation campaign is also extensively discussed.
