In this documentary we see how American seniors have resumed working life and earn a little extra money. About 35 men and women work in an American factory and according to director Fred Hartman “they can work here as long as they can climb the stairs”. The average age is 73 years and the company does not have a fixed retirement age. Most employees are on the payroll for 20 to 25 hours and can arrange their own working week. Hartman, 49 years old himself: “Older people are flexible, like to work part time and are very motivated”. Rosa, 89 years old, sharpens needles, attaches them to holders and packages them. Rosa doesn't do it for the money, but to keep busy.
