Het Land van Melk en Misgano plot

Since 1948, many Jews from all over the world have emigrated to Israel. Among them are the Ethiopian Jews who have stood out most in recent years, not only because of their skin color which makes them the target of racism, but also because of the difficulties they face in adapting to modern Israeli society. Documentary maker Jan Willem den Bok followed Misgano Mangeste, a 33-year-old Ethiopian Jew who seizes his chance to leave the poverty of Ethiopia behind to build a life for himself and his family in Israel. Misgano is on a mission and will not find rest until he gets there - on the sacred ground where God wants him. But does he oversee the consequences of his exodus to the Promised Land?
