Here I Go plot

To escape the pressure at home, 17-year-old Ruben voluntarily leaves for Albezon, a remote farm in the southern French Cevennes. There he stays and works for two months with Sam and Emmy, a Belgian host family. In Albezon, Ruben seems to be allowed to be his apparently closed and distant self, which allows him to reflect on and navigate his way through his difficult past.

17-year-old Ruben arrives with a backpack at Albezon, a remote farm in the Cevennes, just across the French border. He stays there for two months under the supervision of the Vandeghinste family. Ruben is initially politely curt, but the peace, the regularity and the work do him good and he gradually comes out of his shell. Only at the end does it become clear why he came here in this documentary that can compete with the best feature films about the mental well-being of young people.
