Hannes Wallrafen, Licht en Donker plot
Suddenly photographer Hannes Wallrafen saw something blurry in his left eye. When it didn't go away, a visit to the ophthalmologist followed. A diagnosis was not long in coming: Lebers Opticus Atrophy (LOA), a rare hereditary disorder of the optic nerve. Expected result: vision of a few percent at most, say virtually blind. Hannes Wallrafen, the creative photographer with a keen eye for facial expression, body language and detail, suddenly has to leave a familiar and familiar world behind. And it is not yet clear what will take its place, even though he immediately threw himself into 'sound'. He no longer looks with his lens, but listens with his microphone. The documentary follows the development of this process over a longer period of time; Hannes Wallrafen basically has to reinvent herself.
