The Danish filmmaker, poet and journalist Jørgen Leth gives his personal vision on the history of and everyday life in Haiti. Leth has lived on the island for a number of years and has made three feature films there. During his stay, the filmmaker fell under the spell of the island. Leth uses his camera to penetrate the mixture of myth and reality that defines everyday life in Haiti. With a small crew, he records anecdotes and absurd, dramatic and wonderful events.
