Gleason plot
At the age of 34, Steve Gleason was diagnosed with ALS, a deadly muscle disease that affects all muscle groups one by one. When paralysis of the respiratory or swallowing muscles occurs, it is fatal. Doctors gave the former successful NFL player and hero from New Orleans two to five years to live. Thus, Steve chose to create a video diary with his newborn son and his wife to help others with his illness.
