"Gib mich die Kirsche!" (Give Me the Cherry) is a documentary about the first decade of German professional football, from the founding of the Bundesliga in 1963 to winning the World Cup in 1974. The stars shine as we watch Bundesliga highlights: goals by Uwe Seeler, Reinhard Libuda's wing game, Franz Beckenbauer's hit 'Du Bist Das Glück' or Gert Müller's honeymoon plans: honeymoon until 11 am tomorrow and then on training camp. This was the real German football, in which footballers were still real footballers and even had their own football haircut.
