The world's best and most beautiful hand-woven carpets come from Iran. In 'Our Persian Rug' the story of a Persian carpet, as a metaphor for today's Iran. In a poetic way, the tapestry takes us on a journey through different periods in the turbulent history of this ancient country in the Middle East. In addition, through the story of the carpet, we get to know different generations of women from a traditional family. From the grandmother, who wove the carpet many years ago, to the granddaughters, for whom the carpet plays a completely different role in their lives in today's divided Iranian society.
