Gaea Girls plot
They are sturdy girls, the Japanese gaea girls. No creamy pads like the sumo wrestlers, but compact ladies with short hair and broad shoulders. In the wrestling ring they wear shiny decorated tight suits, and they swing their opponent above the head and then to the ground as if they were wielding a sack of potatoes. “They are so full of life in the ring,” sighs student wrestler Takeuchi Saika at the start of the documentary. "That's how I want to be!" Takeuchi wants to be noticed and will give blood, sweat and tears for it. She endures humiliation after humiliation, while it becomes more and more apparent that she lacks strength. Also Takeuchi's escorts Satumora and Nagayo are followed into the wrestling ring, where a good gaea girl only gives up when she is almost dead.
