Frauen über R. W. Fassbinder plot

The German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder often had women in leading roles. In this documentary, Hanna Schygulla, Irm Hermann (Fassbinder's first wife) and Margit Carstensen have their say. They elaborate on their collaboration with Fassbinder, his attitude towards women and his very special way of dealing with actresses. The film contains several thematic chapters that discuss his special relationship with men, his homosexuality and his unusual childhood. It also considers the influence the director had on their career.
