Forman vs. Forman plot
Who better to describe the life of director Miloš Forman than the man himself? Jakub Hejna and Helena Třeštíková built their portrait entirely from archived interviews, supplemented with fragments from film classics, set visits and home videos made by the filmmaker himself. The director, who died last year, candidly tells about his eventful career and private life. Forman, for example, lost both parents as a child when they were deported from Czechoslovakia to concentration camps. He never felt at home with foster families. “It was as if I was looking at those families from the outside through a window,” says the filmmaker. "I've always kept that feeling."
