Forgotten Fools plot
In July 1992, fleeing war violence in the former Yugoslavia, some of the patients of the Bosnian psychiatric institution in Jakes left for Hungary. Since 1996, these patients have been in a ward of an asylum seekers' center in Debrecen, where the rooms are clean, but bare. The filmmakers speak with patients who would prefer to return home. However, according to their relatives - and according to the director of a new facility in Jakes - they are better off in Hungary. Official bodies meanwhile are refusing to request information by telephone.
