Food Chains plot
This documentary follows a group of Florida tomato pickers who disagree with the power of supermarkets. The group, The Coalition of Immokalee Workers, reacts against the low prices that the large supermarkets pay; companies with revenues greater than Apple or Google. It shows a modern form of slavery and the conditions under which it takes place. From Florida to California, tens of thousands of people of all nationalities work in appalling conditions for far too little money.
