Fellinopolis plot
In the mid-seventies, director Federico Fellini commissioned his close collaborator Ferruccio Castronuovo to shoot impressions of the filming. Fellini wanted to use the behind-the-scenes look as trailers for his films, an idea that was never followed through, after which the material disappeared into the vault. Documentary maker Silvia Giuletti dug up the treasure after decades and turned it into a complete film by combining Castranuovo's work with interviews in which former employees such as composer Nicola Piovani and production designer Dante Ferretti look back on the collaboration with the director.
