Embassy of the Free Mind plot
"UNESCO Memory of the World"
The Embassy of the Free Mind (EFM) is the only museum in the world dedicated to free thought. Housed in the historic Huis met de Koppen in Amsterdam, the EFM celebrates the city's centuries-old tradition of freedom. Since the 17th century, Amsterdam has been a haven for free thinkers, artisans, and artists, where a climate of tolerance and intellectual exchange prevails. The EFM houses the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica, a renowned collection of rare books that recently received UNESCO 'Memory of the World' status. This collection comprises 25,000 forbidden books that explore the connections between humanity, nature, and the universe, with an emphasis on hermetic wisdom, alchemy, mysticism, and more.
