El Mar la Mar plot

The sun burns mercilessly on anyone who wants to cross the Sonoran Desert between Mexico and the United States. Apart from the few people who live here, it is the poorest undocumented immigrants who venture here. These have no choice but to take this extremely dangerous route, pursued by border guards, both official and self-proclaimed. The horizon seems infinitely distant and deadly dangers lurk everywhere. It is best to continue under the cover of darkness. During the day, exposure to heat and sun is enough to cause animals and people to die quickly.
