The Mexican Enrique Metinides has worked all his life as a bread photographer for tabloids and Mexican newspapers. From the age of nine he roamed the streets of his hometown in search of accidents, shootings and other miseries. His love for film has always largely determined how he portrayed all this misfortune: as aesthetic as it is disturbing, but always in search of humanity. In this documentary, Metidines speaks freely about his life and work, what it means to live off the misery of others, and what it is like to find beauty in tragedy.
